This could be a genuine call or it might be a scam. Anybody know?

We didn t get to the phone, first time (last night); second time (noon-ish), it was an instant hang-up. We expected to find the kind of comments that we read here. Thank you for confirming our fears. Isn t it tedious?

Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. THIS IS NOT BT, CALLED ME AND SAID THEY WERE FROM BT AND WERE REVERSING THEIR PRICE RISE AND WOULD SPEED UP MY BROADBAND SERVICE. ALARM BELLS WERE RINGING IN MY HEAD, HE DID NOT ASK FOR MY BANK DETAILS BUT DID ANSWER MY DATE OF BIRTH QUESTION. HE SAID HE WOULD EMAIL ME WITH MY NEW UPGRADED DEAL. 01892710670 called 26Oct21 at 11:11hrs, silent call. Then again 27Oct21 at 15:59 hours, asked for me by name but declined to answer the question 'Who wants him?' then rang off.

Starts the call by saying " This is not tele sales" which is a sure indication that they are then want to know about pension details.
