SCAM Called me twice, did not get a chance to answer, when I called back BT voicemail came on.

SCAM Called to tell me my internet was slow and they would fix it. They tried to send me to a website to fix it but when I asked if I could have a number to call them back to make sure they were legit they hung up. They then called back to ask when was a convenient time to call me and I restated I wanted to call them and they hung up again. The second time the call came from 01483828426.

Just had a call from this number saying he was a Bailiff coming round this afternoon to collect on a debt from an advertisement I placed for my business in January 2018. Very insistent but I ended up putting the phone down on him when he would not listen to me, and before he got to asking for any bank details. DO NOT BE TAKEN IN. I have now reported the call to my local County Court as advised by the www.gov.uk website.
Claiming that I had an accident which is not true. As usual, they get my name correct. I asked for my number to be removed from their system. seems just scam.

These are simply self employed people who get a commission if they manage to get any money out of you out agree to anything. There are several things you can do: First of all don t be intimidated. Birkhill underwriters called asking for my dad, asking if he had been in an accident. Wouldn t tell me where he got my details but told me he would remove them from their database. I don t normally answer numbers I don t know but did this one as the dialling code is from my town and could have been my work. Number now blocked.

Got a text from this number today, 7 Sept. Never opened the text and deleted it straight away. I could see that it was some fake warning about a PayPal account being accessed from a new device. Since I do not have a PayPal account, I immediately realised that it was a phishing attempt.
