In the end they pleaded with me to stop calling them. Female, Asian accent. Stated name was Crystal. Calling from BT(?) The internet connection to the property would be cut-off in 48 hours unless a PC procedure was followed as per instructions. The reason given - Cyber criminals were using an open port on a PC to distribute malware. Upon stating I thought Firewall protected the PC from such abuse, the call was dropped. I'm presuming this is a scam with intent to gain access to BT account info & PC data.

BEWARE - scammer. 2nd identical call today. A male with an Indian accent told me his name was Winston and he was calling from BT. I asked him what my BT account number is, but he did not answer and said he was calling because of a problem with my router / browser. The number was falsified - when I tried calling it back, it did not connect.
These are crooks try to cheat people. Something about accident, insurance, etc ... all rubbish. Everytime they call I hang on them. They insist though.
