My mobile rang once then stopped . Just as if someone was testing if my number was " live ".
nIhave no idea who it was , and no intension of ringing the number back.

Fake number so definitely a scam. These calls originate from outside of the UK.

Called me today to mumble something about life insurance. I said I have it and the caller then mumbled for about a minute and I said - politely - I don’t understand a thing you just said. She said “oh realy then how are you able to respond?” Which is both nonsensical and confrontational. Then she put the phone down. She beat me to it.

get telephone numbers from domain registry information, call centre based in india but using local Skype numbers to pretend they are uk based. Wont take no for an answer- have to hang up and block to get rid.

Just received a call from an Indian sounding chap called Charles . Asked me to confirm if I was receiving a high volume of telemarketing calls, and that he could help. Gave me the 0845 number, and told me to call for a box to plug in to the phone for ?1 something per month. I asked him to hold on for a moment, muted the call, put it on speaker and just left the phone on the desk while I carried on with my work. Umpteen calls from this number early am, and evenings included. I emailed the company and they replied asking for the numbers I want removing from their automated call system. Let s see if that work!

Answered call as it showed a location, but caller hung up immediately. Have blocked the number.
