Have been having a rash of calls in our local area from people calling claiming to be from various 'car insurance ' or 'legal service' firms saying 'you were in an accident' asking about wanting to claim for damages. They come from various numbers in different towns - Goole, Machynlleth, Peterhead, Thurso, Merthyr Tydfil,Yeovil, Strathy,Manchester (4x), Leeds and more - this is just off my phone. Claiming to be from a legal company asking about a car accident I'd had in the past 2.5 years (which I haven't had). This is the third time I've been called, first two times was from a Kilmarnock number. I have not had a car accident during this time. A scam where they put in an insurance claim saying you were injured even if you weren't.
This is British gas and they make appointments without asking you to install smart meters I went online and cancelled if you dont they will turn up and Ive read if you dont let them in or are out they will bill you for their time absolutely ridiculous
