This came through on my telephone as an incoming call but was obviously not local once the accent and slight delay in answering was heard. Obviously from abroad a scammer. Told them not to call again no doubt will fall on deaf ears.
I have received a call from an older gentleman promising me petrol vouchers and subscription to a magazine for £1 charged off my bank card. He proceeded to try and convince me about how safe this was, blurring out the company details and address, stating the call is recorded and saying he only need the card number so I should be really safe.When I hesitated he became more and more persistent regarding the safety and this being one time only offer with only this caller being able to offer me this deal. Claims to be calling from the rewards department from an EE call centre in India. Was told I can not call back as their line is only outbound and no web to browse their offers or phones? I was a little suspicions as if they where from EE they would of known not to start selling until my contact was up for renewal in 8months time.
