Hal s reply is spot on. If someone sends a text message to your landline and you don t pick up the phone it gets stored for you to retrieve later. This 0795 number is where you collect the message, plus the number of the mobile phone that sent the text. It s not dangerous. All depends on what the text message says, of course - that could be anything. In my case it was someone texting to say Sorry I Missed Your Call. See? Not dangerous.

Rang me nearly 30 times over the course of 3 mornings at 10-15 minute intervals. When I eventually got sick of it and answered it turns out it was a dentist, live caller on the other end, didn t wait to hear what he wanted before telling him not to call again. Seems to have worked.

SCAM They called, claiming they were from some warehouse (I did not understand because the woman's foreign accent was very hard to understand). They asked me which iPhone I have to offer me some 'discount' for an upgraded plan or something. Guess what, I do not have an iPhone.
