Called me today, didn’t recognise the number so I didn’t answer. They didn’t leave a message, I wonder why.

When I answer, they put the phone down, they never leave a message and when I called them back, I got an annoying automated message of the person on extension ..... Telemarketing for "special offer" garbage for company employees or whatever is was that the lady on the phone was trying to get across at 200mph !! Spoke so fast, missed the company name, sounded like "star .." something ..

Woman phoned asking if I was Miss (my girlfriend s name) I m not the butchest of guys but I don t sound like a woman.... Very heavily accented Indian accent, also appalling sound quality with lots of noise in the background. When I asked who it was from, she mumbled something about PPI at which point I put the phone down.

Call Guardian blocked this caller. I returned the call on my mobile which was answered by "Calls UK" "customer services" (on a mobile number?!). Apparently we have a "policy" re: nuisance calls and we will be contacted again. I said we don t wish to be contacted again and, in fact, our "policy" is rubbish. She then hung up on me. Obviously a scam = blocked.
