It seems that hospitals are in a Catch 22 situation here. While wishing to remind patients of appointments, and thus cut down on missed appointments, they also wish to protect people's data so cannot simply leave a message on an answerphone which may be accessed by people other than the person to whom they are addressing. This is then in conflict with the general public who also wish to protect their identity from all sorts of cold callers and scammers so have installed things like answer machines and/or ca

Asked if my name was ___. I asked what is it regarding. He said a small financial matter. He asked again if I was ___. I asked who is he from. He said he wanted to first establish if I was ___. I said if you will not tell me who you are, then you do not know who I am. He said something by which time I hung up.
Tried to convince me that he was ringing from a Microsoft support line, because they had detected a problem with my PC.
Totally fed up with these calls. When this number is put into google one response says you are charged just for answering! I hope this is not the case and think its high time this sort of scam was stopped it seems TPS is no use at all .

call to my mobile from 01484 477 673 on 22nd March 2021. Apparently if I don't press 1 to connect to HMRC representative with regards to my fraudulent activities I will be arrested immediately! i had a call like this from another number 2 weeks ago... still sitting here waiting to be arrested! I know that HMRC do not make calls such as these and it took a few seconds for the call to connect when answered. I hung up and blocked the number.
