They rang me, I answered and it sounded like a call centre in the background (people talking and the sound of a keyboard was being tapped). After a split second they hung up on me. So I m guessing it was to check my number was in fact active.

The caller said he got my number from our local council and then continued as above but also then became very abusive, swearing and shouting when I asked him questions about who he was and which company did he represent

Called it back and it appears to be my local Enfield Dunelm store albeit the number Stoke on Trent and NOT local!!!! OR published anywhere!!!

So sick of these calls. Just another one for the list. Is phoning people at random and making their lives miserable their entire job? Their parents must be so proud.....
