They called me and I didn't pick up the phone as I usually ignore unknown calls - they then sent me a text saying they're the HSBC Fraud Prevention team and asked me to call back. Was a bit suspicious so I called the number on the back of my card instead. Yep to all who are not sure whether this number is a scam or not - just call the number on the back of your card and they will transfer you to the team, you don't have guess whether the call is legit or not then.

SCAM - very strong accent, calling about accident that wasn't my fault. I put the phone down and blocked them, they called straight back from another 020 number and then again.
Fraud says they were from BT and i had issues with my internet where someone had gained access and the IP address was being used in different place.

It seems that hospitals are in a Catch 22 situation here. While wishing to remind patients of appointments, and thus cut down on missed appointments, they also wish to protect people's data so cannot simply leave a message on an answerphone which may be accessed by people other than the person to whom they are addressing. Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 8435687xxx range... Did someone answer any number of this range?

This is an Avon call centre, trying to encourage their reps to order extra items. This in itself would be fine, but the number of times that they call is excessive in the extreme. They obviously use a system that calls a few numbers at a time and more often than not when I answer there is no one there. At certain times of the month I can get up to 10 calls a day. It is extremely annoying.
