Been calling my phone several times a day for how many days already but I ve never answered the calls as its unknown to me. I don t want to be harassed by these people and have no way of blocking the number.

I have just had a call from the money shop, i think they were called. I apparently have applied for a discount pack. Mmmĺm. I know i enter competitions etc but this one didnt ring a bell. They had the correct postcode. When they asked for my sort code I said I wasn't prepared to give any bank details out over the phone. "We won't take any money out today" Really!!!! He said I couldn't have the pack unless I did. No thanks

Called me today and I called them back as it was my home area code. It was a company called Alia. I said I'd already claimed PPI back and he was saying that if I did so before 2013 I could be entitled to more. He wasn't unpleasant but I had to be abrupt in the end to get him to understand I wasn't interested!

Text said in hospital after an accident and requesting I purchase a vodaphone top up voucher and text details back to this phone, quite convincing. The fact that the text was not from my sisters phone number was the reason I tried to call this number with no reply, called my sister and she did reply!!

iv had the same trouble with SSE about bills. I had changed to ovo, much better service and much cheaper. My advice: leave SSE and go to OVO.
This is a potential SCAM not just a nuisance call - good tip is to ask the company name (which will be said unclearly) and then ask them to spell it - they put the phone down.....
