SCAM Called to say my home appliance cover will be discounted. Gave the name of Chris Jones and a contact number of 08007789104. Gave him false sort code and account number to see where this was going. He asked me to "confirm" my date of birth also gave him a false date, he missed the fact it was April Fool's day. Just joined START RESCUE, they rang and left a message asking me to call back to discus my plan. Cannot see any reason to call them as my plan has been set up and is active as paid, i think more likely they want you to take out other policies with them, not ringing back.

Phone number 01159243884 rang my land line this morning. A recorded message saying I'd used my card twice for a transaction of 300 pounds and £1,000 pounds. To verify the transaction. I hung up

I have no idea how you made this a number from Russia, no idea what or who it is, just rings and hangs up, so blocked. DON'T EVER ring back, if they don't speak it's of no use to you, and is one of the ways to rip you off, because it registers as a live number and they docan sell your number onto other scam lists; and the number can get diverted to a premium number that will cost you serious money, search it before anything else, and report when it's bad.
