I was getting consistent calls from another number in the same area as this one which I blocked yesterday, and now today I’ve already had two calls from this number in the same area. Received a strange call about fraudulent use of my bank card?
Indian call centre person (could hear others in the background trying to scam others), claiming to be from the Utilities Department. Told him I knew he was a scammer as there is no such thing as the Utilities Department. He hung up and I blocked the number. They also use 0161 669 0643 and 0640. Seems they have purchased quite a few numbers to scam people.

Probable scam or fraud. The telltale signs: 1. Delay before speaking 2. Lots of background noise - a call centre 3. Says he is from a telecoms company but name is indistinct.
