scams ripped of be aware

this number has called several times saying they are from british gas accounts, I told an asian sounding guy I wasn twith British gas so he kept asking who my supplier wa, I told him I wasn t prepared to give him that information and hung up. I had already checked this number and contacted my supplier(British gas lite) who assured me my account is an online product and under no circumstances would they phone me.

Just posted the comment above and would like to add that I have reported this matter to the Police and BT and want to urge people not to fall victim to this. The Police have investigated it and have said it is a scam. - Be warned.

This guy told me he was calling from "O2 Get Connected" I now know that there is no such thing as "O2 Get Connected" he asked me a security question which I failed to answer, I the confronted him about it later on then HE read out MY postcode for me! "Isaac" of "Pearl Advice Services" re "accident". Said he was in Birmingham. When I challenged him on saying he was in Birmingham but the number is in Maidenhead, he hung up. On calling back, I got a "number not recognised" message. Clearly false. Now blocked it.
