Mum was suspicious, rang off, got the number by dialing 1471 then rang it back. Women who answered refused to give her name and said she hadn't called Mum and didn't work for a company.

Bank scam. A recorded message from "bank security" telling you some large amount of money had been transferred from your bank account. You are suggested to press "1" for further information and certainly, have your money stolen when you give your bank details. Beware!!!!!!!

We are a small charity and the person dealing with HR not in & I explained I wasn't willing to pass details on unless they told me what their company actually wanted/did still just mumbled his own name & insisted he'd ring back. Call centre noise in background.
SCAM Phone sim swop scam designed to by pass the 2 step verification system and gain access to passwords, banking etc. Looks like a Birmingham company actually based in Karachi. Bit of digging on Linkedin etc confirm this and that is it a cover for many businesses including call centres. Tells you all you need to know.
Calls my office work number a couple of times, every 3 or 4 weeks. I called them back on a withheld number and they told me they are an energy company. Personally I just think they're a cold caller.

DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFOMATION THIS IS A KNOWN SCAM! This is a scam, I had them call me on different numbers 5 times in the last 2 days claiming there from several different companies. There trying to scam you out of money and DO NOT belong to any of these companies there claim to be. There try and get you to give them your bank details, once you do there will steal money from your account DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFOMATION!
Said they were from Vodafone promotions department. I hung up - it may be a scam.

SCAM Woman with strong foreign accent claimed to be from 'BT technical department' (immediately obvious not genuine) and said they had received notifications that my internet was being used by others fraudulently. Pointed out BT not my provider which she ignored, she then tried to guess some letters from my email to 'send me a verification' and when I said that wasn't my email, accused me of lying!!!! Presumably hoping I'd supply my actual email.
It's scam, they are pretending they are employers from HSBC asking my grandmother to install software on her computer to they can login. Called HSBC, they will never ask to download programmes to log in.

They called asking for someone of a different name. I said it's a wrong number and they hung up. However it sounded very much like a scam call centre. After doing 1471 3 called them back and was hearing a recorded message about them being telly tube or telly shute. Never heard of them.

This is a scam. Told I owed money ($4000) form a credit card I had from 2010 to 2016. Would not give me proof of the debt. I never had a credit card during that time period. Said they are going to try to take $8400 from my bank account by serving papers to the county clerk that is in my county. I spoke to a couple of attorneys which said it sounds like a scam. Received a call on my mobile from someone with an African accent who could barely speak English, ie he was reading from a script. He seemed to be saying he was from 'Tesco Mobile' but am not sure of that. We ended the call and blocked the number.
I have no idea who this number belongs to as I am not willing to call it all I know is the person that fraudulently tried 3 different companies to take loans out of £5000 each application in my name with all my correct details bar my phone number this number was on all 3 applications I’ve had a hell of a day trying to stop this fraud and could possibly take upto a further 7 days as I have to prove who I am like wtf it’s in the hands of action fraud now no idea how they got my details
