Scam Saying from Amazon Prime was a recorded message I put the phone down
Said they were BT, I had too many people using my IP. The account name was wrong. They said they could block them from their server, but it would be better from my PC. After my challenges they sent a text message with a verification code. It said to change my password. I did. Had one previously, real BT support said it was a scam. Assumed this identical call was too. Only the false account name was a clue, otherwise how can you tell?
SCAM said they were calling about legal documents to do with debt. Said I didn't have any debt and she put the phone down.
Called my 11 year old daughter. Tried to scam her.

TAXES/HMRC - an automated voice said they're HMRC. But are they?! - I'm suspicious due to there being so many phone scams! - (I never press "1" on my keypad to strange numbers now). I'll call them & find out & let you know, (if I can).

Twice when I picked up the phone the line went dead. The third time, a lady said something which included the words "Tax refund" but, despite asking her to repeat herself several times, I could not make out anything else she said as she had a very strong foreign accent. So I blocked the number.
This was an automated call suggesting tax fraud and possible imprisonment. Do not respond to these scammers.

Yeah, these idiots keep calling me too. My advice is to play along and waste their time. I spent hours providing them false contact and banking details. They got really angry when they kept asking me to confirm the account number. It feels so good wasting their time when then had full intentions of wasting myne / whilst trying to rob me blind . Just received a call from this number on my mobile. I answered and said "Hello?" whereupon the call was immediately disconnected. I don't recognise the number, but suspect some sort of scam or nefarious activity. Although the criminals mainly target my landline, some of them seem to have my mobile number.
think this is a scam as line was crackly as anything and said someone was trying to take money from my account £1,000 and £324 but could not make it out clear enough to hear what options one and two were

Normally they call me from different Aberdeen Numbers, so now they're trying to catch me out by phoning me from Dumfries. The guy introduced himself Peter Jones calling from Finance And Investment Solutions Ltd. trying to sell personal loan. it was suspicious. checked with FCA, I've been told that they are impersonating businesses and personal names.
