I got a call from this number this afternoon. My policy is not to answer calls which are not on my contact list. No message was left on my answering machine. I barred it and this allows me to call it but when it phones me it will get the engaged tone and pay for it. I phoned the number and my provider says it does not recognise the number. Another exciting day at the office.

I answered the first phone call and it was about insurance I didn t need. When they called me agAin, I blocked the number. This sounds very dodgy from the start but I played along, chatting with a lady with a foreign accent. It's eventually got to the stage where she asked me for my bank account and sorting code, at which point I asked her a very personal question. She then swore at me and hung up. She had mentioned postcode lottery, and assured me that I had won a European holiday and £399 in cash at one point she said the company was called something like travel and leisure.

The man said he was from the Anti Telemarketing Service in Cardiff (London no) and working with Landlines operators to stop unwanted calls, Indian call centres, international marketing, for a lifetime fee of £182.. I looked up the service...nothing on web. I don't believe it exists and thought it a scam but I cannot find a scam listing.
seems like a hoax saying my ip address has been compromised unsure yet but asks you to call them and a charge will be applied don't bother
