a Text Message, allegedly form HSBC to inform me that I had authorised a payment to a Mr C Jones and to contact a specified web page if I had not authorised. I have no HSBC account
Call center. I answered the call, although I was suspicious as I didn't recognize the number. I said hello, 5 or 6 times, there was a clicking on the line, then a foreign-sounding female voice finally said hello. I said "you took your time answering, didn't you" at which point the call was disconnected.

However ... 1) I was at home all day; 2) I'm not expecting a delivery via the Royal Mail; 3) The Royal Mail don't levy a charge for re-delivery.

This is a fake number used by scammers to try to get personal information about you. They sound very official and scary, suggesting legal action against you. I inadvertently provided them with my name, National Insurance number and name of bank before I realised that it was a phishing attempt. The caller spoke with a slightly American accent. I tried to call the number back, but it's invalid.

HMRC scam. They first called off a mobile number, I answered hung up & hung up after hearing a recorded message saying that I had committed fraud & to press one to speak to someone or I would be arrested. They then called back on this number to be verbally abusive towards me. HMRC would not do that! Block every number they use. Total scam. These people need to get a life & a proper job that contributes to society in a positive way.

Had a call from this number on my Moby, I answered it and asked who they were. Fella said he was from a company that was enquiring if I had a Funeral Plan in place. Cold calling from companies that trawl the internet looking for innocent people like me who have inadvertently entered into legitimate competitions online and think that because I have entered my Moby Number to the competition company, that they can ring me. I blocked this number straightaway on my Moby.
