SCAM - Automated voice purporting to be BT telling me that I needed to contact them re an outstanding charge or I'd be disconnected from phone and internet. I haven't been with BT for months.
Someone (female) rang my mobile, saying that I was entitled to a phone / contract update... Probably trying some scam.... And clearly not from my real phone supplier (Orange)....
I have been called 3 times by this number today. It is highly irritating as I drive a lot. No one there when I answered the third time of them calling. I called back to a recorded message with an American accent saying This number is out of service . My guess is that they are testing to see if the number is in use and you will get a load of marketing text messages once this number is answered or called back which I recommend you do neither.

Lady called, knew my name and address, very noisy line, said I would be getting letter in post and that I was due a refund on credit card. I asked what credit card and she couldn t answer just asked if I d had a credit card before 2009 I said no and she hung up!

SCAM This number is from someone Harry, Michael) who is trying sell Household Appliances breakdown cover, I was told they were from Domestic and General, they were not genuine they wanted to know my Credit card number which I gave but luckily my bank refused as they probably knew already, so beware warned.

Rang off as soon as I picked up.
Claimed to be from BT Openreach, when I asked where he got my number from he threw a load of verbal abuse at me to which I responded that he's obviously not from BT Openreach and hung up.
This is a scam. They are saying they are from BT, however the following is true (as I worked for BT for 36 years). 1 - BT do not ring you on a mobile number (unless and engineer has an appointment at your house that you know about). 2 - The phone is registered to Vodaphone, BT do not use any other networks for their own use. 3 - He could not give me my BT account number. 4 - He said he was from Millenium City London, this mobile number is located in Manchester! My son answered the phone and passed it to me. A voice clearly stated who they were and that I was being recorded. I asked where they got my number from (as its a brand new line and I have not given it to anyone at all!)They said I was on there system as I was a customer of there s.
