Went dead as soon as I answered but this sounds like the same thing as reported on the media with Indian (or Indian subcontinent) scammers pretending to be from spoofing the number of an innocent guy in Wigan who has nothing to do with it.

I received a series of five unsolicited calls over a two month period. No conversation, just the sound of people talking (in English)in the background, then hung-up.

They verified my details, knew my name and every handset/plan I already had, and after a brief chat, concluded that I didnt need anything. I get these kind of calls 1-2 a year. They are a telesales company likely working with EE. There is a lot of negative comments, but this is the way the capitalist world you live in works. Accept you will get these calls, people trying to sell your something.

Last night I received a call from this number and a man asked to speak to my husband. When I asked what it was about he said he was from Chase Alexander. I asked for more details and he hung up This morning he phoned again and again said he was from Chase Alexander and wanted to speak to my husband. When I asked him what he was calling about he said it was in regard to an accident. I informed him my husband had not had an accident could he be more specific. Sarcastic and rude male just kept repeating he wanted to give me a quote for car warrenty on my car (mentioned make and model along with car reg!) Wouldn t remove my number when asked. I insisted to be put through to a human being who doesn t have attitude. When I was I told them unless they remove my number, I shall deafen their telecallers with a whistle next time they call, and I hope they suffer for it. It is obvious that the firm making these calls is also manipulating this forum. Both are equally shite. In my case they have a pretend-itslocal pseudo number. Jail for you soon. Not soon enough.

Eh called me yesterday and didn t respond when I said hello. Now before 9.a.m with a message saying to call Becky Fuller urgently. This language is alarming and would surely pull people in. I m already suffering from anxiety and don t need these deceptive parasites making it worse

Asked for me by my first name which I challenged as he did not know me and he went on to say it was a follow up call regarding an accident I d had in the last three years. Have blocked the call. This is the second call like this from a local number...I m guessing this is a new tactic.

Had a missed call almost every day from this number for the last three week,call times vary, from 10am up to 7pm. When I called the number I was put through to Scottish Gas answer service.

this number is local to me but seems not to be located here. Liverpool accent but National Hearing Clinic does not exist, it seems. Similar claims supposedly based on my industrial history have been used by pseudo-companies in recent years, shown by Google search

I feel sorry for Bideford G.B. because the criminals, who fake their numbers as well as everything else, chose to call me using this supposed number today.
