They called me today about an industrial accident I had. I didn t. When I asked where they were calling from she said Plymouth. I live in Plymouth but judging by other comments, they were calling from Darlington. Asked her for name of company and she said Industrial Workers Office. I gave them an earful and hung up. Said they were from BT and wanted to improve my router to increase my internet speed. Tried to get me to log on to anydesk.com, which is a remote access portal. I actually asked them if doing so would give them access to my computer and they said no. Beware!

They asked for my husband, who has had a separate number for 15 years. So, they must be buying numbers from an old database
SCAM / SPAM SMS perports to be from PayPal and contains a link to a website so you can update your "user terms" to avoid suspension. This is entirely fraudulent, do not open the link as you can check directly with PayPal using your usual bookmark, they are attempting to phish for your login details and credit card information.

Fake caller pretending to be a hmrc and claiming there was tax fraud investigation and if I didn't answer I would arrested promptly, I pressed 1 and a person answered saying how can I help you today, this therefore told me straight away it was a scam as why does a hmrc officer need to ask me how they can help me if they called me. Don't continue with the unless you want to mess them around.
