Call from a company called Direct Legal regarding a recent car accident (I haven't had one). I immediately asked where they got my number from and was informed this had come from the National Accident Database (doesn't exist as far as I am aware). I asked
SCAM Sent SMS including a link. Said I had missing census information and not updating this may result in £1000 fine. Said for me to click the link to update information to avoid having to pay any fines in future. I clicked the link but phone detected the link as unsafe and sent me a full red screen reading: “DECEPTIVE WEBSITE DETECTED” and gave me a choice to proceed or to go back to previous page. Don’t be fooled like I was! You may not be so lucky as to dodge the negative consequences like I was!
