It turns out those businesses are their other client's debtors too and they use their private data illegally. Unfortunately we fell for this scam and paid. If you look carefully. Sales woman called and said she wanted to speak to the director and give us quotes for energy providers. I told her 'the managing director would not be interested in her call but thank you' and then put the phone down as we do not take cold calls. She rang straight back and spoke to another colleague saying that I was rude to hang up on her! Very harassing, a rude person, and not a good fit for a sales team, we will be adding them to our black list.
