Some random agency contacted me from this number. They started the call with the usual "Good afternoon, I m xxxx is that surname". I sent them away with a flea in their ear as they didn t understand how impolite it is to call someone by their surname only (not even a Mr). If they can t get my name correct then how can I trust them to get me some business and/or pay invoices etc.

15/01/21 Received automated call using american accent claiming to be from Revenue and Customs. I do not believe however that this was legitimate revenue and customs because they would have sent a letter detailing any taxes that were due in order to release any packages i had imported. Also the call would not have had the threatening tone that it developed at the end where it advised me to ready my legal team for further action, had I not returned the call. i have blocked the number

Checked the number that he called from. Local? Oh, then why are you calling me on behalf of an organisation that's apparently based in a town 200 miles away? Pure spam. They've called me before. Same patter. Same result. That's another of the numbers that they use added to my blacklist.
