Received a call today (25.01.23) stating I was being investigated by HMRC and to press number 1 to speak with an operative. I just did nothing and the call was ended automatically. I'm guessing this was a scammer! Blocked of course.

SCAM A female agent called me with Mobile Phone = 07428693956 at 12:22 pm identifying themselves as BT Customer Services and Security. They said their engineer was working on the line and detected an extra IP address registered at my location. Now BT customer services never ring outbound on a mobile, plus IP addresses are allotted by the router and not by the user. This is a scam and dangerous number if they ring you just take details, report it as fraud and scam, then hang up! ###SCAM###SCAM#FRAUD#FRA

SCAM This looked like a local number BUT it was a recorded message purporting to come from Amazon about a sizeable sum taken from my account for an order and to press 1 if it wasn't me who made the order. Needless to say I hung up without pressing any numbers.

Scam trying to get information

This call is from the Visa Debit Fraud pretending there is a pending transaction of £900 and to press one if this is not a transaction you recognise. I never pressed one, but I suspect if they did my bank details would have been requested. I checked with my bank there are no pending transactions

Fraud - I think? This number rang my home landline (I couldn't reach it, I'm disabled). - I did 1471 + 3 - the number was dead. Google didn't find it (but found a few close variations from Southern American countries, not anyone I know then, (we're in UK). This number doesn't ring when dialed on landline or my mobile, (but rang me a good 1/2 minutes)? I checked & checked it again. - How's it possible? - Obviously some kind of "con", "scam" ?!

Call saying someone tried withdrawing £900 out of my bank account

SCAM - Recorded message claiming to be VISA saying 2 large purchases had been made on my visa card (I don't have one) so deffo a scam. Shame it was a recorded message or I would have been happy to insult them in new and inventive ways.

SCAM As soon as I answered a recorded message started that two withdrawls had been made from a bank account. No name of bank, name of holder, card number etc etc. This is a scam and is the same recording as several other calls I have received.

SCAM This number called in response to an online chat about my printer not connecting to Internet, callers name was Dave!, he didn't sound like a Dave. Convinced me my computer was under attack and he could fix it, which I agreed to as he had panicked me. Fraud. Got a text supposedly from GOV.UK with an https// click-in, advising me that they have identified me as being eligible for a discounted energy bill under the energy bill support scheme. Mmmm how did they know my number? why didn't I get an official letter/mmmm. No surprise really it's a fraud scam, the government doesn't text you to tell you they are giving you money,and as far as I know will never do this anyway. Why aren't they traced and shut down?

Some outfit calling itself 'HR Advisor'. Pretending to be some kind of authority on HR law, which they clearly aren't - it's just the usual data harvesting.

Text Message reads, 'my mobile has disappeared dad'. Number not known to me. Message not for me. Possible scam/spam.
