CARE - Scam number - automated call purporting to be from Inland Revenue - threatening cancellation of National Insurance Number due to apparent illegal activity - financial threats got stronger during the call if no action taken - instructed to press "1" to be connected to "customer service officer". Presumably, if pressed "1", would then be coerced to divulge bank or card details or other information - CARE.

Mentions checking National Insurance number check. Obvious scam as some of the grammar is confused but quite alarming on first hearing. You can use Truecaller to block calls. You will get notification that the number tried to call but when blocked it doesn t actually ring so you are not disturbed. You can pay by setting up direct debit and then cancel so not automatically taken following year. Don t take renewal quote...go on to AA site and get quote. Will be lower than renewal. Some organisations ie NHS get discount. Be smart. Play them at their own game.

Asian guy named David,Asked for my mum as he was her grandson, giving 01619326141, to call him back. Asked what he was doing in Manchester(recognised dialling code)as i thought he lived in Liverpool.
