I am moving from BT because of horrific service. I received a short automated message from BT - stating that they were taking over my line. I called to query this. The guy who answered verified my number, but it was not my number. I told him it was not mine and he abruptly hung up. I called back - the second call handler couldn’t understand the situation and became annoyed and hung up. My phone rung again and it was a scam call centre from abroad offering to cover my washing machine but I was to pay today.

Claimed to be from Virgin, calling about internet. Got increasingly frustrated with me when I said I didn’t recognise the number and would call Virgin myself. Didn’t believe the guy with Indian accent and I hung up when he wouldn’t go away. Scary as it sounded like a big call centre in the background and it would be easy to get sucked in. Hope everyone hangs up and karma catches up with what I believe are scammers.

Rang off as soon as the realised they were rumbled and I was running reverse tracing on them. South African IP and call number spoofing. Be aware of this number 07460513465, it is a scam. Call made by a female with a heavy accent accent, pretending to be from Sky to check your internet connection speed 'because Sky are doing upgrades in your area' She tries to gain access to your phone and laptop by asking you to preform searches and logging onto an unrelated website. After deliberately giving her the run around because it was obvious she was a con artist, I received verbal racial abuse and a threat of violence for wasting her time.

Just been called from this number claiming to be from BT Openreach wanting my Internet details as my security had been compromised. When challenged the caller was rude and hung up on me.This website suggests the phone is based near Greater Manchester but a phone locator website suggests it is based in London. Calling the number back yielded no response.
