If you speak then the line is detected as 'a voice phone line' and logged, a scammer will then call you later! If you don't recognize the number calling - DON'T SPEAK FIRST, JUST LISTEN. It seems as though this could be a nuisance caller. My husband and I have both had calls from this number today, on our mobiles, while on holiday in France. It's slightly worrying, as we have many friends and relatives in the Manchester area. Our phones silence any unknown numbers but as no voicemail messages were left we are assuming the calls weren't important.
Insurance Called from Direct Insurance about my kitchen appliances claiming that as I hadn't made a claim in over a year they could offer me a substantial discount on my renewal fee. The thing is, although I haven't claimed I am NOT insured with this company. I've now had three or four calls and each time I've asked them politely to remove my details from their database but they still keep calling! I told them today I would report them to you.

Some woman spoke extremely fast with an Indian accent, the only word I could make out was repairs. I asked her to speak clearly and she hung up. This is the second call with a London prefix this afternoon. Scam callers are getting extremely annoying.

Called at 5:15pm 6.7.23. Calling about solar panels being installed in your area and are you the owner of the house. I didn't go any further, just said 'Goodbye' and put the 'phone down. I am pretty sure that had I held on they would have wanted to arrange to come and see property about installing solar panels. I class this as 'dangerous' especially if they get through to vulnerable persons.

Automated call, has rung me 3 times (05/05). I rung back and it and nothing. Has now rung me twice this morning 09/05, I managed to pick up the phone, heard a very loud call centre in the background, and whoever called me hung up after a couple of seconds. Number is now blocked.

This number would appear to be à Plymouth number. However it is a recorded English voice about payments I have tried to make to Amazon and an International Money transfer.it is clearly a highly dangerous scam and similar to a call I had the other day from a different number with an American style voice. They don’t know your name or your card company
