Called by these people offering a free loft roof space check, assured no money involved but if anything detected we would have two years to decide. Loft space checked and said to be in poor state for mould and decay of boards, told it would cost £8k to fix but if we went onto the express service it would be £6,400 but we had to book in right away. We asked for time to think about it and he then appeared to call a colleague who agreed to lower price to £6k but we must firm immediately. We declined.

Dangerous scam call from this number - just hang up. Says is Lloyds Bank fraud dept and that my debit card has been used fraudulently, and to call a number. Someone needs to stop this criminal activity!

Just received a call from this number. Caller (who had a very strong Asian accent) claimed to be from PC World. She began with the usual "How are you today?". When I replied "Not very good", she ended the call. Sounds dodgy.

I got a call this morning from this same and it sounded like an Indian person on the other line asking for my name and then it immediately dropped. I call back the number and the voice note confirmed that the number has been theft from another user and is now been used for SCAM and that none shouldn’t entertained it. This is a number local to me but I assume it has been hacked as it was a recorded message purporting to be amazon concerning an order I hadn't made. Scammers doing what they do best.

An urgent verbal message on a loop advising me that Trojan software had been active on my system and that I should not switch off and should phone this number which I did - they said they were Microsoft (a residential number!?) The person wanted me to hold down the Windows and 'R' keys so that he could correct the problem. I asked him if that enabled him to take control of my machine and he then put the phone down. Seems dodgy.
