But where my FB was this number was there .and I have put soft ware in . I received a call from this number saying someone had bought something on my account for £700 and if this was not me to press 1. The voice was female and well spoken. I put the phone down, then checked my Amazon account. This purchase had not been made so probably it is a scam.

Silent call - rang early morni9ng and when I picked up there was no voice, nothing. I said hello, but there was no reply - said it again and then the line went dead. Few people use our landline these days, and only numbers we recognise (family and friends) so I suspect this was spam.

Another caller-trace service says this number was first detected 11 days ago, but there were no reports about it. SCAM - Automated call claiming to be from Amazon, telling me that my Prime subscription has now been charged £95 for the year and to Press 1 to cancel. I hung up and blocked the number at that point. Checked my Amazon account online, nothing has been changed.
SCAM sounded like a genuine call from Virgin Media about internet problems. Said their server had been receiving errors from my hub. Suspicious when they started asking me what apps I ran on my phone. Even more suspicious when they wanted me to download remote control software so they 'could show me the problem ' Noticeable change in tone when I said I was an IT professional. Hung up the phone and called Virgin who confirmed they'd never ask someone to download software.

Usay Compare, legitimate company, only call you if you've enquired online. Bupa use them to compare online enquiries rather than do their own. They will remove your details if you bother to answer your phone and ask them to, rather than hiding from it and complaining on a random website like a child
