Caller with an Asian accent said he was from o2 and I had been selected to have a 50% discount on my tariff. I have has these calls before and seemed to be an obvious scam, so I briefly went along… The caller said I would receive an email from o2 but first I would have to pass security and he would send me 2 links with questions. I made three calls to Damart sort out an order made through their website Only when I got my phone bill did I discover I had been charged over 25 for the calls to customer service This is totally unacceptable
My number is telephone preference system (TPS) and therefore this company - or any others like it - should not be calling - this was a 'fishing' call. Callers' name was 'Joe' - male, said he was 'an energy advisor'. End of call. Don't call again, Joe, you might get my husband next time and he is nowhere near as polite as I am.

020 8144 3803 Windows computer virus scam. They (whoever 'they' are) have been using the same script for years. In fact, this number goes back a while. They con you into giving them access to your PC, plant a virus on it (supposedly) then charge you £100's to remove it. Just hang up & block the number.
