Was called by this number several times, when i tried to call it back i just got a recorded message, it did not say who the caller was. However a week or so later i received a letter from Yorkshire Water saying they wanted to change my water meter and it had this number on the letter.

This is a scam. They are saying they are from BT, however the following is true (as I worked for BT for 36 years). 1 - BT do not ring you on a mobile number (unless and engineer has an appointment at your house that you know about). 2 - The phone is registered to Vodaphone, BT do not use any other networks for their own use. 3 - He could not give me my BT account number. 4 - He said he was from Millenium City London, this mobile number is located in Manchester! have been getting these calls regularly, once daily for several weeks. I usually ignore the call when my caller display shows this number. Last week I rang 1471 for the hell of it and got a recorded message -your wine club tried to contact you. I am actually a Laithwaites member and use them when I want to order wine. My son answered the phone and passed it to me. A voice clearly stated who they were and that I was being recorded. I asked where they got my number from (as its a brand new line and I have not given it to anyone at all!)They said I was on there system as I was a customer of there s.
