Received a call from this number (07922591295). Its a scam. A voice telling us that we had an £800 on line gambling charge on our our Visa card in America that they (presumably Visa or our bank?) thought was suspicions and was on hold. To stop it we just needed to respond by pressing 1.

Gentleman with a northern accent claiming to be our towns child safety officer Telling us how we'd signed up to a child safety booklet to go to our local schools. As he couldn't pronounce the names of the schools correctly that didn't really help his cause Told him we'd never spoken before to which he quickly replied "ah right ok leave it with me" and then promptly hung up

The lady who called said she was from a house & window company based in SW London, so why is the phone number in Pontypridd, please?

Indian man who claimed to be from EE then claimed to be calling on behalf of all major mobile carriers and listed Virgin, O2, Vodaphone etc, demanded repeatedly my phone bill. Sounded hostile and claimed to be offering a 40% discount. The sound of chatter could be heard in the background. Block this number. The British government really needs to do more to safeguard citizens from whatever fraud they had planned.

They also advised that if I had any issues with my boiler I should call the freephone number which was 01202 138 752. When I advised them that I work for British Gas Services which I do they hung up. I tried the "freephone" number but this related to another company which has nothing to do with boilers or anything to do with British
