Fraud Supposedly calling about erroneous £300 amazon payment and large international payment......scam.
Wasn't speaking English when I first picked up, so I didn't bother engaging
The caller said your income tax has not been paid, and asked for payment. I know mine has been paid. t#The phone was put down by me.
They have called me 5 times in the past 4 days. Despite blocking their number, they are still trying to get through to me. They also leave blank messages on my answer phone. Avoid them like the plague and blocking them is the best advice I can give you.

Suggests they are from your bank (but they don't tell you which one because they don't know) Informs you by automated call that large transfers have been made out of your account (which is rubbish). They hope you will be daft enough to talk to them so they can obtain your bank details. Why the Police and Telephone companies still allow these fraudsters to operate it beyond me.

I had two texts from this number saying it was from Royal Mail and asking for money to deliver my parcel.
Indian man who claimed to be from EE then claimed to be calling on behalf of all major mobile carriers and listed Virgin, O2, Vodaphone etc, demanded repeatedly my phone bill. Sounded hostile and claimed to be offering a 40% discount. The sound of chatter could be heard in the background. Block this number. The British government really needs to do more to safeguard citizens from whatever fraud they had planned.

Caller telling me my Amazon Prime had been auto renewed. This is a local dialling code to me
ActiveQuote - Private Health insurance. Call center They call at renewal time, presumably so they can get another commission. I chose my existing provider from a comparison website and don't need any "advice" to renew with them. Obviously, if you keep change providers any pre-existing medical conditions won't be covered. You can supposedly email [email protected] to update your preferences. I haven't tried it yet, but it should stop the calls.

Didnt introduce himself, asked for me by name, said he was calling about my debts ( I dont have any so knew he was lying) I asked him to tell me about my debts, he said I was to tell him. I got a call from this number today, 06/03/2023, from someone claiming to be from Vodafone, I was offered a 20% discount for the last 12 months of my contract. When they asked for my name and address I ended the call. They had a strong Indian accent. I contacted Vodafone who confirmed is was a fraud.
