SCAM received a call from this number this morning. It was a message claiming to be from "your bank", stating that there was a withdrawal of money from my account, asking me to call back to "confirm the transaction". It's another scam, just hang up. DO NOT CALL THEM.

This number rang my Mobile which is only know to a few people. I was told it was HMRC and if i didn't send some paper work i would be liable to prosecution. Told to press option one to speak to some one did so and the person on the end said something like thank you for calling !!!! didn't understand the last bit. I commented I didn't call you did, it then went quiet. I hung up. Both voices were certainly not UK English in speakers. Don't trust this phone number think it's a scam

SCAM - caller claimed to be from British Gas wanting to book me in for a boiler service. She didn't ask for anyone here by name so I didn't engage, just ended the call & blocked the number. I rang British Gas using the genuine number from their website - they confirmed that no-one's called me today.

This phone number was sent to me in a text message from a “debt recovery agency” and was told to phone this number, the Text itself doesn’t show a senders number, only DEBT RECOVE, I did call the number to see who it was and it was answered by an Asian man who asked why I was calling him,

I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year. Re The failed bank payment, the bank itself stopped this money and when I spoke to my bank it was decided that the £149 seemed high for an anti viral program and there was a possibility of fraud. The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based, Indian company masking the no to a local city!!

They called asking for someone of a different name. I said it's a wrong number and they hung up. However it sounded very much like a scam call centre. After doing 1471 3 called them back and was hearing a recorded message about them being telly tube or telly shute. Never heard of them.
