Silent call - didn’t recognise number so was suspicious from the start. Answered by saying ’hello’ - line then goes dead. I guess the point is to call back and fall into some sort of scam. This happens so many times.
Very worrying call. HM Revenue with American voice saying returned letter meant legal proceedings would start if I didn t press 1 and talk to an agent. No chance!!

Called asking for someone by name, who doesn't live at this address any more. I asked, who's calling please? They repeated the name. He seemed upset by this very simple request stating that it was impossible. I told him to call back when he had sent the email. He rang from this number 2 days later and came out with the same nonsense. He said he was Roger. I hung up and complained to SSE.
