Scam, they clone your number and then send themselves premium texts which you have to pay for. It should be blocked by providers.

SPAM. I have been getting 2 calls a day on my mobile for several months. every call uses a different number. Until recently these numbers were from a lady speaking Chinese, who then switched to English prompting a message that indicted. Scam Indian call centre, says internet is broken and tries to get you to download a remote access computer program so they can take over your computer and then claim a ransom from you. Suggest you keep them hanging on the line as long as possible but don't download anything or give them your details. Just string them along and frustrate them.
