Claimed to be Virgin media calling on there behalf from the Philippines i queried there authenticity told them i was hanging up and contacting Virgin media directly
They called me at the same time as I was expecting a very important call from my company, it looked like they knew I was waiting for something important and I was approached by them. Now I'm afraid I'll get a high phone bill. Watch out for them.

Whoever it was hung up straight away when answered, now blocked.

Then get a text saying sorry to bother you I got a few numbers the wrong way around. Possibly someone doing research to see if the number is active to put it on scam site. call from this number Monday 6th March at 13.50 when an automated voice said I was about to spend £700 + on an Amazon order and that they had halted the transaction pending my pressing button 1. I smelt a rat and hung up then Googled the number to find this site. I'm confident it was a hoax.

This is a company called hoo. Online travel platform, my company uses them for our bed and breakfasts. Number is genuine and safe.
Telling me I have had two withdrawals from my bank - one being from Amazon for £300 and the other for a couple of thousand from abroad. I had a phone call from (supposedly local) yesterday also saying this! Ignored it.

FrI was caught out by this today. Luckily, I realised after the call ended and was able to change my account details before any damage was done. The scammers knew all of my details - full name, address, email address, how much I'm billed each month - even my security question. They were very convincing. They applied just enough pressure when the texts to change my account detail came in that I didn't have time to read them properly. Thankfully, I read them after the call and got straight on to O2 to change
