My "Hello" was intended to be loud enough to hurt the caller s eardrums. He or she rang off. but not before I was able to hear the familiar crackling noises which are usually the give-away to these people s criminal intentions. They use different made-up numbers each day.

SCAM / SPAM Pre recorded message claiming to be from HMRC threatening you with arrest unless you press 1 on the keypad. I suspect the second you press 1 you will be connected to a premium rate call and end up with a whopping bill. Just hang up.

Scam/Fraud Recorded message stating that I had an arrest warrant against me for tax fraud - it then gives you an option to press '1' for something (by which time I'd hung up)... Obvious scam by whatever criminals are operating here.
Had the same call as everyone saying from Sky and I was due a refund asking for details etc. Which is when I hung up as it seems it is a SCAM !!!!!

Someone called said something along the line of Pearl Helplines or something similar, I blocked the number it's the 4/5th time they've rang.

UK (not sure why it comes up as Hanoi on here!) - Worldwide scam phonecall from DHL in the UK spoofing the actual DHL customer service number so it looks/sounds legit, automated Chinese voice asking you to press 9 to speak to someone regarding a parcel, then repeats the message in Chinese. It is a number for Waste Managed Ltd. They used to be Cheaperwaste Ltd. Terrible waste brokers in Newcastle. One to avoid so don't let them have your bank account number, or let them start a contract for you. There is a Facebook group, Cheaperwaste Waste Managed Unhappy Customers which reports terrible things.
