I keep receiving messages in quick succession on my landline answer machine (8 this morning so far). They are clear until the company name is stated, when it becomes muffled. Having looked at the reviews, the calls seem to come from Talk Talk (can hear it is a busy call centre in the background), but I am with BT and have never had any dealings with Talk Talk!

Got a call from this number, can’t find any search about this number. Too noisy! First said it was from Sky, (knew my name and address), said my contract ended now in begin of April, I corrected saying it was only next month. did not recognise number. I answered but did not speak. there was a lot of background chatter, possibly a crowded office or call centre. caller just repeated "hello" without any introduction. they gave up after a few moments and just said "ok" and hung up.

SCAM-This is a scam call. My mother has been getting a lot of these from the same location. Sometimes they have a voice message asking you to pay money to listen to the voicemail. Avoid at all cost and if you can block the number.
I think this is a spoof number as it is a not in service number and does not leave a message on answer machine. This number cannot be contacted.

Automated call telling me £1000 had been taken from my account for a gambling site in the USA. It then followed saying £300 had been taken to pay Amazon. Neither of these things have happened. It asked to press 1 or 3 as a follow up.
Received a call from this number (07922591295). Its a scam. A voice telling us that we had an £800 on line gambling charge on our our Visa card in America that they (presumably Visa or our bank?) thought was suspicions and was on hold. To stop it we just needed to respond by pressing 1.

Message arrived over WhatsApp - I guess it's now the platform of choice for scammers, as bulk SMS costs money? Suspicious "hi, hope you are doing well" received, and nothing else. I'd suggest do not reply, not even to ask "who is this?", as it's likely a scam. If it was somebody I knew, I'd expect them to use my name and/or identify themselves if they can see we haven't communicated before.

When I asked where did they get my number from they mumble some national something. when I said they don't have my number they said all they need to know if my house is damaged.
