A female voice, who did not identify herself said that she wanted to speak to the home owner. I told her to ring my landlord. She then rang off. She did not use her name or my name, a typical SCAM attempt which failed as I went off script.

I am disturbed by this number, they just want to hear what is your name, they come up with a strange story and immediately hang up.

They're pretending to be iD Mobile but they're not, god knows how they're finding what mobile service we're with to try and make the text message look genuine. Call center SPAM Said his name was Alex, however he had a very strong Indian accent. He said that he was phoning from British Gas!? It was about boiler cover, house hold cover for both gas and electric. Asked a couple of questions. He said that he was calling from London, when I asked him what the weather was like in India, and it would be set up today! SCAM most likely - claiming to be from the Lloyds fraud prevention team due to a credit card being used (I don’t bank with Lloyds) and saying it’s for a Mr. Dario something-or-other, whom I am not.

Whoever called from this number 02083131130 said they were from HMRC. This was an audio say that HMRC have been trying to get in touch and to press 1 to carry on the call.
