Called asking for non-executive Director by name - "it s Johnny from the surveyors at Altus" were the words he used. I walked through to our Director and used the same words. Our Director said he won t take the call as he has no ongoing business with Altus and no imminent need. I returned to Johnny and advised this, to which he said "did you tell him it s a financial matter?". I responded, "No, because you didn t say it was. But he won t take the call". It looks like they know your number and full name. the caller said they are "consumer information bureau" and wants to do survey.

Optical Express - they called as I had made an inquiry online about laser eye surgery but they rang 10 times over the space of a few days, didn t leave a message or text/email to say who they were. It really has put me off using them as I can imagine they will harass me if I do go for a consultation.

Keeps calling, last phone call when they asked to speak to me I replied," No you can t, she died last week. Needless to say tthe following day , guess what?, they rang again. A foreign sounding man introduced himself as John Parker and said I was due for refund of bank charges. I gave him my dob (I recently claimed charges and for a second thought it was genuine.)I would never give bank details and said so. I just said Lloyds bank(not true).He said his boss will phone me today. They called this morn and I didn t answer. Dreading the phone ringing now and worried giving my dob was a dangerous thing. He didn t swear but got more impatient as the call went on.
