This is a hoax .... say they are from currys and PC world... they offer upgrade on your phone, 1 week on no new phone canceled card payment and direct debit, phoned again today soon as they heard my voice they hung up, I've been keeping the line busy for the past 2 hours .... got nothing better to do. I have twice received calls last week from somebody (Roger, I think) claiming to be from SSE. He wanted to talk about a new contract. He didn’t specify whether it was gas or electricity. He first asked for somebody who has not worked here for several years. I asked him to send the new prices by email. He seemed upset by this very simple request and claimed it was impossible. I told him to call back later in the week when he had sent the email. He did from this number and came out with the same drivel

Fraud purport to be BT openreach and after prolonged instructions on front of computer ask to download and run "anydesk" which is legitimate software but not in the hands of these con artists.
Was called out of the blue about the crypto world trade centre scam, wanting to send me an email to get my funds back - sounds really dodgy apparently they are Virgin Tech - no website, I rang the number back, it connected to ananswerphone message but with no mention of the company. Alarm bells.

Scam call: recorded female voice message (with American accent), purporting to be from HMRC, stating that I was being pursued (criminal case) for failure to pay taxes.
I got a call this morning from this same and it sounded like an Indian person on the other line asking for my name and then it immediately dropped. I call back the number and the voice note confirmed that the number has been theft from another user and is now been used for SCAM and that none shouldn’t entertained it. A scam caller called Crypto-something-or-other. Offered me 50 dollars of Bitcoin in exchange for attending some seminar; no doubt the scam is that they try to sell you more junk cryptocurrency. Nobody really transfers Bitcoin in increments as low as $50 because the fees are so high. They knew my first name somehow and ignored the TPS Do Not Call list.
