Claims that I have committed a tax fraud!
At 8.20am I answered my land line thinking it must be important and was a local number. It was a automated message saying ‘thank you for your payment of £299 for anti virus, if any problems please call our free phone number’ The number I’m afraid I didn’t get and it didn’t say any company either. I’m sure this is a scam of some sort that they catch you when you call to complain so very much aimed at the trusting, naive or elderly.

they sent me an email claiming i will be charged £375 for Norton antivirues renewal. I called them they said they will need to take me through the process of cancellation which involved me being on the computer to fill in the cancellation form. Caller said they are 02 and giving a 30% discount on my tariff. 02 calls always end in 02 so I knew it was spam and hung up.

This was an automated call claiming to be from a bank (unspecified), warning me about two purchases through Amazon, on my bank card. I had a similar call for a local number earlier in the day. I didn't click 1 or 2 to authorise or to get help. Apparently the number is a landline in Bangalore!

Called me twice while I was on another call. When I called back just three minutes after he last called me he wanted to know who I was. He said I'd called him earlier in the day when he was in a meeting, even though I had made no outgoing calls at all that day. When I pointed this out he hung up. I believe he said he was "Henry Lane", and I have now blocked the number.
