If you speak then the line is detected as 'an active voice line' and logged as such, a scammer will then be calling you later, and usually using a different number! If you don't recognize the number calling DON'T SPEAK, JUST LISTEN! If you don't hear a voice and then the line goes dead then congratulations - you've just successfully escaped being scammed! 01877 is the local code for my village when I answered the call it was a recorded message from Amazon Prime. Was this a scam call? Could be dangerous.

SCAM Pretending to be from EE... Sounded as if was from Indian people call centre offering me to make my package to half price. AMAZON scam! Telling me that an order has been made in my name and £300 payment has been taken from my card!!! Press 1 to speak to an operator. I pressed 1, and told the guy I was confused to the message and he hung up. The phone code is my local town but the guy was Indian. DONT GIVE OUT YOUR CARD NUMBER TO ANYONE OVER THE PHONE GUYS!!!!

According to person on other end of call, they were calling with regard to the problems I had logged with the local housing officer. I had done no such thing so this is obviously a scam call
