SCAM Received a call today (Indain as usual) about my Sky broadband being slow and this was a free check. Apparently my router has had many problems and is telling their server that my speed is slow!!!! Wanted to know my download/upload speeds and ping! I am not with Sky He was very slow and retarded When he said it was "completely free as I am a good customer who pays his bills every month" - I asked how much do I pay, he replied give me one moment and them 3 seconds later hung

I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year. Re The failed bank payment, the bank itself stopped this money and when I spoke to my bank it was decided that the £149 seemed high for an anti viral program and there was a possibility of fraud. This number rang my mobile today. Caller was male, but the line very crackly, so I was unable to catch what they were saying. Quality of the line makes me think it was being rerouted from elsewhere in the world. They haven't rung back so I can only assume it was a phishing type call. I have blocked it.

SCAM Purporting to be a bank card fraud department. The guy had an Indian accent... and I do not use the bank that was mentioned, so I put the phone down. The ONLY fraud was the caller. No doubt they would have been asking for all sorts of things - DO NOT give them any information whatsoever.

I got a call from this number,I didn't answer,and checked the voicemail and it says "online shopping from your visa card,to report this a fraud charge press 1 to cancell the payment,if it is not done by you" 100% scam

I was called from this number today. I did not answer and they did not leave a message on my answering machine. The number that appeared initially on my telephone was not the same as this one. This is clearly a scam.

First call was apparently from HMRC after I hung up I called the number back was a switch voice mail. Another call again just a regular voice mail. Although nobody talked the second time...

This number called my 90 year old mother posing as the fraud department from the Bank of Scotland. He said 2 lots of money had left her account and they were chasing this up. Thankfully she phoned the bank and it was confirmed that these transactions had not happened. It was a scam, I think to get her personal details, not any account numbers - perhaps identity theft. He phoned her again today apologising for not phoning back yesterday but my mum was very blunt with her replies and he hung up.

Definitely a scam number and unknown to me...didn't answer it!!

Fraud On Caller Display, this number looked like a London exchange. On answering, I got a recorded message saying it was something to do with bank security, followed by a message that was intended to frighten. I hung up, and have blocked the number. Others receiving calls like this might be taken in. What can be done to stop them?

SCAM This number called me today claiming to be from the carphone warehouse, i told them i didn't have an account with them they proceeded to say they knew and offered me a 'good deal' i said i was happy with my supplier! I was them shouted at by the caller telling me not to ring them again, i said i didn't, you rang me then the caller became abusive telling me not to answer the phone to them again!!! Complete Morons!
