Caller (an Asian) said he was ringing from an accident investigation solicitor based in London, about the car accident that I had during past 4 years, and they could claim compensation on my behalf. I HAVE NOT had an accident !! Obvious fraud scam. I will also report this to the Action Fraud helpline.

Keeps calling but if I don t answer I get a voicemail about 1 minute of breathing!! If I see this number now I just ignore it and get a voicemail with breathing and no talk...

I love these calls. This one was from UK Times. On a previous occasion they asked for me by my real name. I said I had passed on (take that as you wish) and I gave them a fictitious name which they used this time. I answered all the questions and now hope to receive phone calls from all the sponsors which I can then report to the Information Commissioner s Office. As the call was from overseas the TPS has absolutely no control over these kinds of callers.

I was called by a lady from Meme Makeovers from this number. A lady offered my a photoshoot for a competition I had won from a wedding exhibition where I had left my details. She subsequently was incredibly rude and pretty much accused me of lying when I told her that her sales rep had not told me about a deposit of £35 and when I told her to call me the next day so I could think about it before committing, became pretty aggressive - complete disaster!! 15:29 19/7/16. Did not appear to know my name, address or location, as did not refer to any - so just cold call to landline. Claimed to be from BT security and that there was a problem with my router. I asked who are BT? (jut to wind him up) - the answer he gave was the only truth in his call. He wanted me to check and confirm some details on my router. I told him I did not believe what he said, I was not going to give him any information and that I was going to hang up - which I did.

I was called from this number several times on Sunday 11th Aug 2013, they claimed to be Lloyds TSB and wanted me to phone back regarding fraud on my account.

I notice that other people have said that it is a scam, I suggest that they agree the appointment and then they will realise that it most certainly is not. Thank you Esme. Really helpful

Called Sunday morning claiming to be doing a health survey for the government. Told them i needed proof. Gave me a couple of freephone numbers to ring which also seem dodgy. having read this thread I ve no doubt they will phone again but forewarned is forearmed.
