Poor reception where I was when I answered so they couldn't hear me, but they knew my name, eventually they hung up. I rang the number back later and immediately heard an automated message saying my custom was important to them and I would be answered by the next available agent but no-where in the message did they reveal who they were so hung up.

TAXES / HMRC automated call about suspicious activity near the northern welsh border and to ask for information before pursuing a lawsuit. Scam likely due to lack of human on other end.

Came up on my phone as potential fraud, I did not answer it, no message was left.
Call with lots of noise in background, claimed to be from 'Phone house company' I think, hard to make out. I hung up due to not recognising this name.
As of writing, 3 different numbers tried to call me today (020 8956 2943, 020 8956 2230 and 020 8956 2601). They all start with 020, I don’t know anyone who owns those numbers, maybe the same individual is using different numbers to call me. Likely a fraud and now it’s harassing.

Foreign speaking lady asked to speak to my father by name, informed her he died 16yrs ago. supposedly from my bank with suspicious activity - £300 odd from Amazon and £1100 odd from an overseas money transaction. Usual press 1 to agree or 2 to talk to agent. Fraud American accent, pre-recorded message saying it was HMRC and there was a problem with my tax record. Told me that in order to avoid jail I needed to sort this out immediately and had to press 1 to be put through to an advisor. Potentially very threatening for anyone who didn’t recognise it as a scam. Google search reveals that if I had pressed 1 my call might have been rerouted to a different country and I could have faced hefty phone charges.
