Scam call, allegedly from VISA - I haven't even got a VISA card! Claims my card (the one I haven't got) was used for a large spend on Amazon (it's always Amazon, isn't it?). Funny how this is from the same dialling code as mine (01454) so obviously area-targetting, and trying to make it look genuine, like as if it's from a local bank.

Indian male called Alex purporting to be from BT telling me I had a problem with my internet and they were getting urgent error signals. I knew it was a hoax call, had them before, so asked him twice what the signals were and he put the phone down. I googled the number that came up, 01438 318251 and its for a homeless shelter in Stevenage. Indian scammers using business numbers for those that really need help! Sick b$%^A$%s!

I called the number, 02037732113, after missing the call and got an automated message from the Housing Dispair Team. I blocked the number.
Gentleman called claiming to represent O2 and offering a 30% christmas promotional discount..... O2 had been previously instructed not to call me for marketing purposed. Whilst it may be legitimate, it screamed scammers

Not sure if it is a scam, but concerned they knew my name, and what domestic appliances I have. We recently cancelled insurance with Domestic and General, so wondering if they have sold on our details. It’s a scam! Told me they had noticed an unusual amount for £1100.00 had been taken from my account.
